Simply beautifully notebooks from France, handmade, handbound, hand torn and hand stained!

Replicas of old tomes, or 'mute books' that were used in the 18th Century in France during the French Revolution. Known as 'couverture muette' or Mute books, they originally had blank covers, and were designed to avoid detection, by the authorities. No two are the same and every one has a slightly different amount of pages.
