An organic product made from natural clays, the origins of tierra negra® can be traced back at least 700 years to vases and pitchers found in pre-Colombian archaeological sites in the Andes. These casserole pots would originally have been designed for use over an open fire but are perfect also for use on modern hobs - gas, electric and ceramic and solid fuel - as well as in the oven.
