We’ve been trading as a bricks and mortar shop now since 1999. In that time we’ve learnt a thing or two about how to look after our customers and keep them happy!

We hope that we will be able to offer you the same level of service online, as we do in our shops. With that in mind, our terms and conditions are here to hopefully clarify the relationship between you (the customer), and us (attic.) Be assured of our best intentions at all times!

The content of the pages of this website is for your general information and use only. It is subject to change without notice.

If you continue to browse and use our website, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy policy govern attic’s relationship with you in relation to this website. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use our website.


‘discoverattic’ or ‘attic’ means attic partnership registered in England, also referred to as us or we.


When you place an order with us, we will require your name, address, e-mail address, credit / debit card details. Without this information we will not be able to process your request or notify you of acceptance of your order.

A contact telephone number is required so that we may reach you if there is a problem with your order, or if your order requires a delivery quote. We may, unless you advise us otherwise, pass this information to our couriers or other agents in case they need to contact you to arrange the processing or delivery of your order.
All orders are subject to acceptance and to availability of the goods ordered. Attic is entitled to refuse any order placed by you.

  • Once your order has been dispatched, the completion of the contract between Attic and yourself takes place. We cannot fulfill any obligations due to the following reasons:
  • The product you ordered being unavailable Or out of stock
  • Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment
  • The identification of a pricing or product description error
  • Customers who fail to reach any order criteria set out in the Terms & Conditions

Reserved Items

We can only reserve items for 48 hours, between Monday & Friday. We do not reserve items over a weekend.

Payment & Pricing

Payment will be debited and cleared from your account before the dispatch of your Goods. Payment for all orders is at point of sale and not at point of dispatch

All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the system. The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered plus delivery. You confirm that the credit or debit card that is being used is yours. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to, or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

We reserve the right to withdraw any products from this Website at any time and/or remove or edit any materials or content on this Website. We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion.

We also reserve the right from time to time, when necessary to make price changes or increases without prior notice. Prices are liable to change at any time, but price changes will not affect orders that have already been processed and confirmed in writing. We may if necessary remove items from sale if they have been incorrectly priced

We will not be liable to you or any third party, by reason of our withdrawing any product from this Website whether or not that product has been sold; To be eligible to purchase products on this Website and lawfully enter into and form contracts on this Website under English law you must:

  • Register by providing your real name, phone number, e-mail address, payment details and other requested information

  • Be over 18 years of age

  • Stipulate a delivery address in the United Kingdom. Please note that PO box numbers, hotels and accommodation addresses are not acceptable.
  • Possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank accept able to us.

By making an offer to buy a product, you specifically authorise us to transmit information (including any updated information) or to obtain information about you from third parties from time to time, including but not limited to, your debit or credit card number or credit reports, to authenticate your identity, to validate your credit card, to obtain an initial credit card authorisation and to authorise individual purchase transactions.

In the unlikely event that your debit/credit card is undercharged, the correct balance, as it appears on your invoice will be charged, in your absence, to the same card. Corrected receipt slips will be issued and where possible forwarded by email.

Sale items disclaimer

All sale items featured in the ‘Sale’ category on the website are either discontinued, end of line, ex display or damaged items. Any damage or faults that any individual product may have, will be highlighted in the description and if necessary photographed. Products sold in this category are ‘sold as seen’ and cannot be returned/refunded

Online Offers

Occasionally, we will have exclusive online offers (on Black Friday weekend for example) These offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers - and only apply to orders placed online through this website. The discount/offer is not available in our shops. Offers only available on in-stock items.

Vintage / Antique items disclaimer

By definition, all our vintage/antique products have had a previous life. Some of our pieces have been fully restored by us, or in most cases they have either, been reconditioned, refinished or repainted. We have made every effort with our product descriptions and photography to highlight any significant idiosyncrasies that you as a consumer, should know about, before you commit to purchase a particular item. With that in mind, due to the hand finished nature of most of these pieces, knocks, scratches dents and general signs of wear and tear will not be considered faults or damage. All Vintage/Antique pieces are sold as seen, and cannot be returned. In certain circumstances, in the case of undisclosed or unforeseen faults or damage, if we are informed within 28 days of purchase - and only if the item is deemed to be faulty or not as described - we will offer a credit note on return of the item on an agreed date.

All of the content on this website (photos, images, logos, text, information, & graphics) is the property of attic and may not be used without our express permission. In the context of Social Media & Blogs, photo sharing websites such as & including Pinterest & Tumblr etc, our images may be used, but only on the proviso that a credit/source is given to attic and a link back to our website is included.
Any use or alterations of any of the pages, or using the content in any other work or publication without our given permission in writing, will be a direct breach of our copyright and may result in civil action.

Health and Safety

In accordance with the Health and Safety at Work, etc Act 1974 and the Consumer Protection Act 1987, we confirm that the goods we supply as a retailer do not present a hazard to health and safety:
1. When properly used for the purpose for which they are designed; and
2. If the Customer takes reasonable and normal precautions in their use.
