Probably made by a carpenter's apprentice, as a test of...
Skill tests: Apprentices used scrap timber and standard joinery techniques to build miniature items.
Master approval: Passing the test allowed the apprentice to work on full-sized, real furniture.
High detail: Crafters made them with the same precision, materials, and care as full-size pieces.
