White House' Deed Box

Antique, reconditioned, stripped steel, deed box. No key.

This one has a nice inscription in script, that someone had 'scored' on the top. Probably the original owner. It says... G.B Lacey, The White House, Tenterden, Kent

These boxes date from the early 1900s, and would have been used for the safe-keeping of important documents - and usually kept with solicitors or banks.
